When picking a Realtor make sure you do your homework. Hire a Realtor that is out there "On the Streets" - Are they active in the community? Are they giving back to the community and local schools? You can tell a lot about a Realtor - by where her marketing and advertising dollars go.
Make sure you take advantage of the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit. The $8,000 First time home buyer tax credit is very alluring to buyers, this paired with vast interest rates makes me wonder - why are you waiting? If you are figuring on using the "First time home buyers tax credit" you have to have your home purchased no later than November 30, 2009. Do not wait any longer! It takes a lot of time to close a loan so September and October is the time to make a move.
